A Strategic Design Partnership for Sustainable Mentoring Culture in Healthcare Education

Mentoring as Infrastructure, Not Initiative

Healthcare education is navigating sustained complexity: faculty transitions, workforce pressures, leadership fatigue, and rapidly evolving expectations.

In this environment, mentoring cannot remain an initiative layered onto already demanding roles.

It must be designed as infrastructure.

When mentoring is intentionally embedded within leadership systems, it strengthens belonging, clarifies growth pathways, and supports professional development across career stages.

Most mentoring efforts don’t fail because people don’t care. They fade because they were never built to last — sustained by individual champions, temporary funding, and the goodwill of people who already have too much on their plates.

Leading Transformational Mentoring™ (LTM) exists to change that.

The Primary Pathway: Cohort-Based Design Partnership

Leading Transformational Mentoring™ is a structured, 12-week hybrid design partnership through which healthcare education leaders apply the Thrive Cycle™ to build mentoring as sustainable institutional infrastructure.

This is not a workshop. It is guided design work.

What We Build Together

Through a carefully sequenced process grounded in the Thrive Cycle™, we co-create:

Clear mentoring purpose aligned with your institutional priorities

Sustainable program architecture designed for your context

Structured preparation for mentors and mentees

Matching, support, and evaluation systems

A realistic launch plan and long-term sustainability plan

Together we co-create a mentoring infrastructure aligned with your leadership culture and built to strengthen over time.

How the Experience Is Structured

Core learning is delivered through structured, research-anchored modules your team can engage on their own schedule.

Live sessions are reserved for collaborative design, institutional decision-making, and strategic alignment. We use that time to build your mentoring system, not review content.

The 12-week experience includes:

  • Guided self-paced learning modules grounded in the Thrive Cycle™
  • Four live strategic design sessions (facilitated by Christine)
  • Two private 1:1 leadership consultations
  • Post-launch refinement support

Leading Transformational Mentoring™ is offered in defined cohort cycles throughout the year to support focused implementation and institutional planning.

Cohorts are intentionally kept small to preserve depth of collaboration and institutional focus.

Conversations about fit and timing remain open year-round.

Additional Ways to Partner

Institutional Mentoring Advisory

Some institutions reach a moment when mentoring needs clearer structure: a program at a crossroads, a leadership transition, or a funding opportunity that calls for a thoughtful mentoring strategy.

Through Institutional Mentoring Advisory engagements, Christine partners with leadership teams to assess, align, and strengthen mentoring culture at any stage of development.

Advisory engagements may include:

  • Mentoring culture assessment and strategic roadmap development
  • Alignment review of existing programs through the Thrive Cycle™ framework
  • Leadership design intensives to clarify mentoring purpose and success indicators
  • Post-launch refinement and expansion planning

Whether this serves as preparation for LTM, an extension after implementation, or a standalone engagement — the focus remains the same: designing mentoring as sustainable institutional infrastructure.

Speaking & Leadership Development

Keynotes, workshops, and conference sessions introduce the Thrive Cycle™ and the mentoring-as-infrastructure framework to broader audiences.

Topics often explore:

  • Mentoring as institutional infrastructure

  • Leadership development in complex environments (VUCA–BANI)

  • Building mentoring cultures in healthcare education

These engagements help organizations develop shared language and conceptual clarity around mentoring, leadership development, and institutional culture. They often serve as the starting point for deeper institutional design work.
